Why didn't Jesus write his own parts of the bible?
by Aphrodite inwhy leave the writing to inaccurate third parties who each saw things from their own perspective.
if his message was so important for posterity, why did he not write an accurate account of his message?

IT, The Stand, Dark Tower, Rose Madder, Bag of Bones...
I'd have to say that the Dark Tower series was/is my favorite. The ending was pure genius and perhaps the best ending of any book/series I've ever read.

I joined Weight Watchers today!
by Princess Daisy Boo ini am a bit of a yo yo dieter - i have been dieting ever since i was a teenager, and my role model for this was my mom of course.
in fact one of my very early memories of going shopping with mom and her buying a diet shake mix.
well... i have a little girl who is almost three and i have been thinking about things and i really need to break this cycle of crash diets, losing 5 kgs and picking up 10 once i have lost motivation.

Way to go Ms. Boo! I'm on WW too. I've lost 20lbs so far! Woohoo for me! Just a word of advice...the weight loss will slow down. Don't get discouraged! Remember that healthy weight loss is slow weight loss (1-2 pounds a week). You didn't gain it over night, so you won't lose it over night! Also, you don't want to lose too fast because you'll have saggy skin!!

The 20 fundamental teachings
by Fatfreek ina close friend studies with one of the jw's.
during one of their recent studies, my friend raised the topic of wt contradictions (flip-flops) using the classic resurrection (or not) of the ancient ones from sodom and gomorrah.
one can show where there are 7 flip-flops on this doctrine.

Super Chick & Terry, I've used those arguments with hubby (name the same in all languages, mis-pronouncing, & the father factor) and none of them did any good. Know why? They're logical and make perfect sense. Those in the throes of JWism just don't get it.
